Random things about me

1. I don't particulary like to say the word balls. I do think it's funny that Laura and Carly enjoy it though and they can humor themselves at my expense.
2. I can say the alphabet backwards....probably faster than I can say it frontwards. Almost everyone in my family can. We are strange, I know.
3. One of my biggest pet peeves is when you are pumping gas and the little lever that holds the pumper down is broken. Then you have to stand there the whole time and hold it while it pumps. I like to take that time to clean my vehicle. Remove all of the empty water bottles, skittle bags and granola bar wrappers. This broken gas pump really puts me in a state of frustratory. It happened twice this week.
4. I like to travel. I traveled with my previous job for two years. All over the US, just about every week. I saw a lot of interesting things and met a lot of interesting people. I spent most of that time in the rural blue collar area of Pittsburgh. I got to see all 4 seasons of the year there. It was not my favorite place to ever be. I wonder how ole John is doing? (The guy that worked at the Avis counter at the airport....we became great freinds)
5. I have a bad habit of scratching my head. When I am laying in the bed reading, watching tv or screaming and making obscene gestures at the bad drivers I encounter every day. I don't know why i do this - scratch my head - and being that my hair is naturally oily anyway, it just makes it that much grosser. Some mornings I wake up and it looks like two rats have been playing ping pong in my hair. I still go to the gym looking like that. Maybe that's why when I go back after I am dressed they don't recognize me?
6. When I was in my first year of college I donated blood and a few weeks letter I got a letter saying that I had Sickle Cell Anemia. I was slightly confused. After calling everyone in my family, to make sure there were no secrets I was not aware of, I was retested and thankfully informed it was a mistake. I wonder if the poor person that my blood was switched with is ok?
7. I like to eat ceral in my bed. It doesn't make it taste any better than eating it at the table or on the couch, it just makes me feel better. After I eat most of the cereal, I drink the milk out of the bowl. Then when all the milk is gone, there is a tiny bit of cereal left and that's my favorite part to eat. Special K Red Berries.
8. I bought myself a grill one time. One of those round ones on three legs. I took it back to my apartment and poured all 8000 peices out on the floor to try and assemble. I took one look at the mess, the directions and my ability to complete the task. I packed it all up and took it back.
9. I have a shoe, purse, jewlery fettish. The way I look at it, those things will always fit you.
10. I had "elective plastic surgery" in the 11th grade. It was a big deal back then. Now, you can have my "election" and the next week you can't even tell. FYI - stay away from my nose.
11. I do not understand politics. I depend on my sister to tell me how to vote. When I am in a room with a bunch of lawyers and they start talking, I pretend they are all midgets and eating fudge pops and doing the cupid shuffle. That makes it funny.
12. I thought it would be fun to try as many schools as possible. Delta State, Holmes, Hinds, Belhaven and now I am going to give Mississippi College a try. Even though I will never have a diploma that says "PhD", I may have more diplomas on my wall than they do.
13. My sisters kids crack me up. They call me "sissy". I am not sure that the youngest ones even know what my real name is. When Carter gets aggrevated with me, she will say "Sissy Elisabeth Rasberry!" I love that sound though...."sissy!" "sissy!" "sissy!"
14. When I was little and if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would say "the lady that cleans the tables at the fish house." No lie. I am not sure if it was because she got to wear a hair net or that she got to pour all the fried food into the big trays under the bright lights. I am glad my parents gave me other options.
15. I was in Chicago for a conference one time and staying at the Ritz. When I was checking in, there were a group of old men standing there talking. They all had long black hair and looked kinda like rock stars but I didn't know who they were. I checked in, got on the elevator and they followed me. They started talking to me (I was a feeble 23 year old girl from MS) and I talked back. They were very nice. The next day I saw them again and someone with me said, "That's KISS!"
16. I love Sonic commercials. They portray the sense of humor that I have. They make me snort and sometimes make my stomach hurt from laughing. I really just like to watch them because I am in love with cheese tots.

Blog much?

This is new to me but being that half of my friends are doing it, I figured I would jump on the wagon too. Not sure what I will write about but I am sure I can share some of the funny things that seem to always happen to me. Or even some of the days where I feel like I could jump off a bridge and scream every dirty word in the dictionary to everyone around me. You know those days.....

Everyone else is doing it, I guess I will too.
